Giving Tzedakah
Our Judaism teaches us that it is an obligation to give Tzedakah to help repair the world. Our Social Action Team supports this mitzvot by designating, every two months, recipients who are striving for Tikkun Olam, to receive financial contributions from our community. In many cases, these are causes or local organizations Judea Reform Congregation works with closely. Thank you for supporting the work of social justice with your generosity.
March-April Tzedakah Box
Your March and April Tzedakah Box donations support Judea’s Reform's Refugee Resettlement and Immigrant Justice Fund.
As part of our covenant with the world, we stand and act in solidarity with others to both welcome refugees, helping them rebuild their lives here, and to protect and defend our immigrant sisters and brothers.
Your Tzedakah Box contribution supports our congregational work to welcome refugees and promote justice for immigrants in our community, including:

Sponsorship/co-sponsorship of recently arrived refugees (11+ families to date)

CARE Groups (Communities Acting for Refugee Empowerment) (3 families to date)

Assistance to the Emanuel Food Pantry

Assistance to the Immigrant Solidarity Fund

Partnering with other organizations supporting migrant neighbors
