Annual Giving
Annual Giving supports Judea Reform Congregation’s everyday operations and activities. We have two campaigns to support Annual Giving at our synagogue: Membership Support and our Annual Appeal. Both are tax deductible, philanthropic contributions. Our Circles of Honor program honors those that give above the suggested membership levels over the course of the year. The additional support from these members allows Judea Reform Congregation to be fully inclusive of all and to foster a financially egalitarian community.
Circles of Honor
Judea Reform Congregation has a robust commitment to making sure that membership is available to all, regardless of financial circumstances. A growing number of members are joining our Circles of Honor annually to fulfill this mitzvah. Our Circles of Honor is for members who can contribute more than the standard membership support level to ensure that everyone can take part in our sacred community. Please consider joining one of our Circles of Honor levels starting with contributions of $360 over standard membership support.
Circle of Honor Levels:
Circle of Judea: +$360 above suggested membership support
Circle of Tzedakah: +$1,000 above suggested membership support
Circle of Mitzvah: +$2,400 above suggested membership support
Circle of Shalom: +$5,400 above suggested membership support
Circle of Chesed: +$7,200 above suggested membership support
Cumulative Giving
Throughout the year, philanthropic donations made in addition to your membership commitment will be combined and recognized as part of our Circles of Honor Program. Your Annual Appeal, Sponsorships, Tribute & Memorial gifts will contribute to your Circles of Honor level. Judea Reform Congregation operates on a July 1-June 30 fiscal year. Not included in Cumulative Giving: pass-through funds (Tzedekah Box), major gifts, and campaign pledge contributions.
Annual Appeal
Our Annual Appeal campaign takes place at year-end (November/December) and supports key areas of our operations and activities, varying from year to year. Our Annual Appeal is a critical part of our budget and we rely on your contributions to sustain our sacred community.
While our Annual Appeal Campaign occurs at the end of the year, did you know that:

You can make a pledge to our Annual Appeal at any point in the year. Let us know if you allocate your yearly giving in January and don’t want to wait until November or December.

You can make your Annual Appeal pledge at the time of your membership renewal in July and August as part of your membership pledge.
