Inclusion Committee
Inclusion at Judea Reform Congregation
Judea Reform Congregation strives to provide a welcoming and supportive environment that invites all congregants to participate in its religious, education, and social activities.
"When we practice inclusion, we enrich our own lives through diverse perspectives, deeper connections, and a more vibrant community experience. Inclusion isn't charity - it's about recognizing and honoring every person's inherent dignity and worth."
- Congregant Kelly Friedlander
Inclusion Committee
The Inclusion Committee is a group of congregants who are passionate about equitable access for all members and aims to advocate for changes and accommodations that enhance accessibility, participation, and increase acceptance of the diverse needs in the synagogue's community. The Board of Trustees, clergy, and staff support inclusion as a core value of Judea Reform Congregation's mission and intentionally strive to plan, budget, and make decisions with these needs in mind.

During services there are large print prayer books; large screens project prayers and songs; the quality of the sound system has been improved and there are assisted listening devices; and all services are streamed online.
-
Programming with interfaith families in mind, e.g. “The December Dilemma."
