Welcome. We are Glad You are Here!
We are glad you're here and interested in learning about membership at Judea Reform Congregation. There is a place for you at Judea Reform Congregation. We are a growing and thriving Reform Congregation serving the Triangle region of North Carolina. Whether you are new to the area or a longtime resident, are a family with young children, an individual, an interfaith family, LGBTQIA+ folks, or a Jew by choice, come join our Big Tent. We want your membership to our community to support you living Jewishly, whether it be through worship, community, lifelong learning, service to our institution, or social justice.
Get to know us!
You don't have to be a member to visit our community. We encourage you to get to know us. Join us in-person or online for a worship service or Torah Study, sign-up for an adult learning class or a volunteer opportunity, or reach out to our staff to learn more about how Judea Reform Congregation can support you on your unique Jewish path.
Learn about Membership at Judea Reform Congregation
Membership at Judea Reform Congregation is open to Jewish households in which one or both adults are Jewish. Membership is not required to attend Shabbat services or participate in many of our community events. Membership provides access to clergy for rabbinic support and counseling, to staff support for Lifecycle events, to our Religious School, and opportunities for leadership and committee participation. We think of membership as a commitment to and an investment in our Jewish community.
Below you will find links to more information as well as contacts who you can reach out to with questions. We look forward to welcoming you to Judea Reform Congregation.

Interested in Joining?
Our beloved community thrives most when we welcome new members to be part of our programming, part of our school, and part of our worship. We look forward to welcoming you!
We have two primary membership categories:
- Two-Adult Household
- One-Adult Household
Suggested membership support (sometimes known as dues) differs for each membership category. While the Board of Trustees sets the standard membership support amount, we also rely on participation in our Circles of Honor Program by those members able to contribute a greater than standard membership contribution level. This additional support allows Judea Reform Congregation to be fully inclusive of all members to foster an egalitarian community. Judea Reform Congregation will never turn away a member with a genuine inability to contribute the standard suggested membership support. Questions, please contact Emily Young, Executive Director.
Need To Renew Your Membership?
Every fiscal year we ask members to renew their commitment to Judea Reform Congregation. This allows us to keep track of who is still active and who would like to resign. Please take a moment to renew your membership or to let us know that you will not be renewing so that we can plan accordingly for our budget and attendance at the High Holy Days.
