Frequently Asked Questions about worship at JRC?
Below you will find information about our liturgy, cultural practices, building, and more. If you have additional questions about joining us for worship please reach out to Jordan Wade, our Communications & Member Engagement Manager.
Services and Timing
Our main Shabbat service is on Friday evenings. The service is at 6:00pm the first three weeks of the month. The last week of the month, our Shabbat service is at 7:30pm. You do not have to be a member to attend, everyone is welcome.
We also have Shabbat services most Saturdays at 11:00am. There is a monthly Saturday Community Shabbat and all other Saturday mornings are led by our B'Mitzvah students. Everyone in the congregation is welcome to attend these services.
All of our services are livestreamed, and previous services can be found on Facebook.
What to Wear
Judea Reform Congregation is relaxed about our dress code. We welcome everyone to join us in comfortable and respectful attire. If you are joining us for services, dress in a way that feels special to you!
Liturgy
Our Shabbat Services follow the liturgy in the Reform Siddur, Mishkan T'Filah. This Siddur includes transliteration and English translations. You do not need to know Hebrew to follow along in our services.
Text for prayers is also displayed on televisions to the left and right of the bimah.
Accessibility
Our sanctuary has accessible seating as well as ramps that are wide enough for wheelchair users.
We offer large print siddurim for our weekly and High Holy Day services.
Personal listening devices are available - just ask our tech team in the back of the sanctuary and they will set you up.
We have an all gender restroom located across from the Rabbi's office.
