Music at Judea Reform Congregation

Music is an integral part of the worship and learning life of Judea Reform Congregation.  All congregants are encouraged to participate in worship services through sung prayer.  Shabbat evening and morning services are led, in part, by lay musicians who are members of the congregation.

Services at Judea Reform Congregation feature high-quality contemporary and traditional Reform music in tune with the meaning and message of the particular service. Congregants of all ages participate on the bimah in almost every service, enhancing worship with their vocal or instrumental offerings or by chanting Torah.

In addition to Shabbat services, congregation members help to provide music for holidays such as High Holy Days services, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, and our annual Purimspiel.

Our music program is directed by Dr. Allan Friedman who not only enriches our community with his musical talents but also with his commitment to engaging congregants and creating a culture of curiosity and care.
