Sukkot

We celebrate Sukkot in multiple ways at Judea Reform. Each year several volunteers set up a sukkah onsite that is used throughout the week by our congregants. Committees dine together, our Religious School students gather for Pizza in the Hut, and it is where we hold our Erev Sukkot service of Justice.

On the Shabbat that falls during Sukkot we also gather for Sukkot Under the Stars, our annual picnic and campfire event at New Hope Camp & Conference Center (4805 NC-86, Chapel Hill, NC 27514) just up the road in Orange County. We eat outdoors then worship and sing as the sun goes down and the stars peek out. After worship we light the bonfire and toast kosher marshmallows for s'mores together into the evening.
