Purimspiel
Judea Reform goes all in for Purim. Our Purimspiels are legendary. Under the direction of our creative and inspiring Music Director, Dr. Allan Friedman, each year's theme highlights the remarkable talents of our congregant lyricists, singers, and musicians. Raucous, engaging and hilarious, our Spiel themes, in recent years, have ranged from a parody of the musical Hamilton, the music of 80s Divas, the music of Elton John, and Pride:The Purimspiel. Supported by a full band, we celebrate Purim whole-heartedly. It's a good time to get loud, wear your own costume, bring a friend, and boo enthusiastically at the mention of Haman.
Purim Carnival
Each year our Durham Regional Temple Youth (DRTY) host a lively and fun-filled Purim Carnival for all Judea Reform youth. The Carnival is filled with games for all ages of kids, costumes, balloons, prizes, and a hamantash nosh. The Purim Carnival is held during Religious School.
