Gesher: A Bridge
A Religious School Program for kids aged 2 and 3 and their chosen adults.
Gesher is a program designed for our 2 and 3 year olds. Gesher in Hebrew means bridge or transition. In this program, we offer you and your children a chance to transition into the Religious School environment by creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for Jewish learning for the whole family.
Gesher meets weekly on Sundays (following the Religious School calendar) from 9:30-11:00. Gesher students and their adult begins with the whole school at T'filah at 9:30 am. Following T'filah, Gesher students and their adults go together, as a class, to continue learning in the Lerner School Building. Gesher students come accompanied by at least one adult to participate in group programming and activities. Generally these activities are connected to the Jewish holidays and can include song, craft, stories, and more.
With the Gesher program, we hope not only to begin a rich Jewish educational journey for our youngest students and their families, but also to begin to build cohorts in our community that will last for years to come.
